Lawn Care Technician

ABOUT THE JOB

The Lawn Care Technician is responsible for performing lawn spraying and fertilizing of yards. You will be required to operate a ride on sprayer, mix chemicals, and assess weed problems along with operating a tablet based software.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $18.00 to $26.00 /hour

JOB DUTIES

  • Operate a ride on sprayer, spraying and fertilizing lawns
  • Measure liquids, mix chemicals, and assess yards for weeds
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
  • Comply with all company policies and regulations
  • Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations

REQUIREMENTS

Applicators license - We will pay for classes, testing, mileage, & licensing to obtain or renew this
Experience preferred but will train the right candidate
Pay will be based on Experience

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
  • Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a valid driver's license

WORK CONDITIONS

  • Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and materials
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire day
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent stamina is required
  • Work near equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis
  • Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold
